Explore the world’s largest art gallery on foot with two Mural Mile routes, offered north and south of Market Street. A professionally trained guide will share the stories of the people, places and themes of each mural.
Along the way, participants will also learn about the culture of the neighborhoods, how the murals complement their environment and the 30-year history of Mural Arts in Philadelphia

The Woodlands is a Philadelphia treasure, a must-see historic site and communal backyard for a vibrant neighborhood and city. This is where Elizabeth Gilbert was inspired to write her novel “The Signature of All Things”, which is about a botanist whose hunger for explanations carries her through the better part of Darwin’s century. Members could read this book before visiting the Woodlands.
